In 1999,  Charlie Victor Romeo co-directors Patrick Daniels and Robert Berger created a theater piece that turned ‘Black Box’ recordings from airplane crashes and similar incidents into a riveting piece of live art; 15 years later, they’ve not only brought the piece to the big screen, but did so in 3D — an indie first.  It’s a mixture of ancient dramatic ideas and modern technology — with both brought to bear on a series of true-life tales that are seemingly  impossible to bear but truly impossible to look away from. Regular host James Rocchi dined with Daniles and Berger at 25 Degrees in the Roosevelt Hotel before talking about theater, film, the difference between the two and the existential terror — and drama — inherent to flight.
